To protect, reconnect, restore and sustain
Connecticut's rivers and streams.

All of this work to protect, reconnect and restore our coldwater fisheries in Connecticut will come to naught if we don’t educate, empower and inspire others to continue our work.

Towards this end, Trout Unlimited Connecticut works to educate the public, particularly children, about the connections between clean water, strong economies, healthy communities and thriving populations of coldwater fish.

Among our most promising initiatives is the Trout in the Classroom program, an in-depth school program where students in classes across the state are raising trout and learning about ecosystems and water quality. Under the guidance of enthusiastic teachers and volunteers, this future generation of conservationists is learning the importance of protecting our rivers and streams.

These investments are among Trout Unlimited Connecticut’s most important activities; few efforts promise such significant rewards so far into the future.
